Welcome to Umuve. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use our mobile applications (Umuve customer app and Umuve Pro driver app) and website (goumuve.com).
1. Information We Collect
Location Data
We collect location information to provide our core services:
- Pickup and delivery addresses you provide when booking a job
- Driver GPS location during active jobs for real-time tracking and navigation
- Location data is only collected while you are using the app and only during active jobs for drivers
- Precise location data is deleted after job completion and is not stored permanently
Photos
You may optionally upload photos to help us estimate the volume of items to be hauled. Drivers also take photos as proof of job completion. Photo uploads are entirely optional for customers during the booking process.
Contact Information
- Name and email via Apple Sign In (we do not have access to your Apple ID password)
- Your email is used for booking confirmations, receipts, and important service communications
Payment Information
- Payment information is processed by Stripe, our payment processor
- We do not store your credit card numbers on our servers
- We only store a tokenized reference provided by Stripe to process transactions
Device Information
- Push notification tokens to send you updates about your bookings and job status
- Device type and operating system version for app compatibility and troubleshooting
Usage Data
- Booking history, job details, and service preferences
- Driver earnings history and payout information (for drivers)
- App interaction data to improve our service
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide junk removal and auto transport services you request
- Process bookings and payments securely through Stripe
- Match customers with nearby drivers for efficient service delivery
- Enable real-time job tracking so you can see your driver's location during active jobs
- Send notifications about job status, driver arrival, volume adjustments, and payment confirmations
- Improve service quality through analytics and user feedback
- Provide customer support and resolve disputes
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
3. Information Sharing
We share information only as necessary to provide our services:
With Service Providers (Drivers)
- Drivers can see your pickup address, delivery address (if applicable), photos, and contact name to complete your job
- Your payment information is never visible to drivers
With Payment Processors
- Stripe processes all payments and driver payouts securely
- Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data: stripe.com/privacy
With Cloud Service Providers
- We use cloud hosting and storage services to operate our platform
- All service providers are contractually required to protect your data
What We DO NOT Do
- We do NOT sell your personal information to third parties
- We do NOT share your data with advertisers or marketing companies
- We do NOT use your data for tracking or targeted advertising
Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government regulation, or to protect the rights and safety of Umuve, our users, or the public.
4. Data Retention
- Account data is retained while your account is active
- Job history is retained for 2 years for dispute resolution, support, and record-keeping
- Location data from GPS tracking is deleted after job completion and is not stored permanently
- Payment records are retained as required by financial regulations (typically 7 years)
- When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:
Access Your Data
You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you by contacting support@goumuve.com.
Request Deletion
You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data. Note that some information may be retained for legal or operational reasons (e.g., payment records for tax purposes).
Correct Information
You can update your name and contact information in your account settings or by contacting support.
Opt Out of Marketing
You can opt out of promotional emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. Note that you cannot opt out of service-related emails (booking confirmations, receipts, important updates).
Manage Location Permissions
You can control location access through your device settings. Note that disabling location services will prevent you from using core features like real-time tracking and driver navigation.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:
- All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
- Payment processing is handled by PCI-compliant Stripe
- Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel only
- We regularly review and update our security practices
However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's Privacy
Our services are not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately at support@goumuve.com.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of significant changes by:

Umuve is based in the United States. If you are accessing our services from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using our services, you consent to this transfer.
