Junk removal that
doesn't default to the dump
Most of what people call "junk" still has a use. Across Palm Beach and Broward, Umuve's haulers work a simple order of priority on every job: donate first, recycle second, and send to the landfill only what truly can't go anywhere else.
Responsible hauling, by default
"South Florida's landfills take in a lot that never needed to be there — usable couches, working appliances, electronics full of recoverable materials. We built Umuve so the responsible choice is the default one, not an upsell. Every haul starts by asking what can be reused before anything gets thrown away."

How we divert waste
-
01
Donate first
Furniture, appliances, and household goods in usable shape go to local charities and community organizations whenever possible — so they get a second home instead of a spot in the landfill.
-
02
Recycle what we can
Metal, cardboard, and e-waste are routed to recycling facilities. Electronics in particular are handled carefully so materials like lead and mercury are kept out of the ground and water.
-
03
Dispose responsibly
Only what can't be donated or recycled goes to a permitted disposal site — sorted properly, never dumped illegally. It's the last resort, not the first move.
The South Florida context
Palm Beach and Broward generate a steady stream of bulky waste — moves, renovations, estate cleanouts, storm cleanups. A lot of it is recoverable, but only if someone takes the time to sort it before it's hauled off. That sorting is the part most haulers skip. It's the part we build into every job.
